Greetings! I've created art in some form or media all my life and have explored many techniques including pastel, watercolor, scratchboard, acrylic, oil, pen & ink, printmaking, photography, jewelry-making, stenciling and primitive rug-hooking. My work draws intensely from nature, color, seasonal light and the expressive potentials of the powerful Maine landscape. Pastel, watercolor and scratchboard have been my media of choice for the past several years.

I'm a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a BA in Studio Art and Art History and an active member of the Valley Arts Alliance. My work has been exhibited in shows around Maine, including the 9th International Juried Exhibition for Pastels Only at the Chocolate Church in Bath, and MPBNs annual Juried Art Show at L/A Gallery 5 in Lewiston, the MOJAS/Waterville Art Society Annual Show, the annual juried Belfast Arts in the Park, the juried Common Ground Country Fair Arts & Crafts tent, Bangor Public Library, and VAA Group Shows at the Newport Cultural Center and Pittsfield Public Library. I'm also the winner of the 2008 and 2013 MOFGA Common Ground Country Fair poster contests, and the 2010 US Toboggan Nationals 20th Anniversary Poster. I've lived with my family on a farmstead in Dixmont, Maine since 2004 where we support and practice sustainable and local agriculture. I am finishing up a writing and illustrating my first children's book and hope to publish it in 2013.
